Jooby John, MD, FACC, FSCAI

 

Dr. Jooby John is a board-certified interventional cardiologist with advanced expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, and structural heart disease. His clinical practice encompasses both comprehensive cardiovascular care and advanced minimally invasive procedures, including coronary interventions, complex peripheral vascular interventions, and structural heart procedures.

 

Dr. John believes that excellent cardiovascular care combines technical expertise with a thoughtful, individualized approach to each patient. He takes time to help patients understand their condition and treatment options and works closely with patients and their families to determine the most appropriate course of care. Whenever possible, he uses minimally invasive, catheter-based treatments to restore circulation, improve symptoms, and help patients return to an active life.

 

Dr. John's extensive training reflects the breadth of his cardiovascular expertise. He earned his medical degree from the University of Kerala in India and a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of Arizona. He completed his Internal Medicine residency and Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at the University of Arizona's Sarver Heart Center, followed by advanced fellowship training in coronary and peripheral vascular intervention at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York. He subsequently received specialized training in transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) at the German Heart Center in Munich, Germany.

 

Dr. John is board certified in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Disease, Vascular Medicine, Endovascular Medicine, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, and Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (Cardiac CT). This unusually broad range of expertise allows him to evaluate cardiovascular disease from multiple perspectives and provide patients with both diagnostic and advanced treatment options.

 

Before joining Cardiovascular Associates of Central Florida, Dr. John held academic appointments at Mount Sinai Hospital and Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City and served as an attending physician at leading cardiovascular institutions in Florida. He has contributed to cardiovascular research through peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters and remains actively involved in clinical research and professional cardiovascular organizations.

Dr. John has contributed extensively to cardiovascular literature through peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters. He maintains active involvement in clinical research and professional organizations, including the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.
